Lake Champlain is a great venue for sailboat racing. LCYC features weekend series and specialty races, an overnight race, one-design Etchells races, and our Wednesday-night series. Fleets include PHRF, JaM (Jib & Main), Open Class, and Etchells (LCYC is home to Etchells Fleet #25). Local non-member racers are welcome; a seasonal registration fee of $200.00 permits racing in the all of the club's races.

In 2008, the club is hosting the Finn Regatta Eastern and National Championships.

Two other yacht clubs host regattas and races: Mallets Bay Boat Club hosts weekend races, an overnight race, one-design Laser, Lightning and J-24 races and a Thursday-night race series; Valcour Sailing Club in Plattsburg NY hosts weekend races, one-design Soling races, a Wednesday-night series, and the Plattsburg Mayor's Cup Regatta.
